Your Bio

My mother was a painter. “Pictures” have always been a part of my life.
I began taking photographs when I was in elementary they school. I had a Brownie, YashicaFlex, and by the time I got to college, a Nikkomat. I used that with the 55mm macro for more than twenty years. Most of the photos of my son were taken with it.
But my career has been in TV production. I have been lighting and shooting video for more than 30 years. The immediacy of video attracted me. In the 90’s I started buying new cameras - an N60, a FujiFilm APS camera and others. Then I got a Canon G2 in 2002. Wow! It was like shooting video — Immediate feedback. I loved it. I admire the patience and artistry of the film shooter. But for now, digital photography is for me.

The galleries are a work in progress. I began here in January 2009. That's 7 years of just my digital photos to select, categorize and create galleries for viewing.
